The LEED Programme

Platinum and two Golds, carried as construction discipline. A measured twenty-three percent gain in energy efficiency, then the story told afterwards.

Sustainability is easy to say and expensive to mean. Here it was run as a system on the site, scored week by week.

Three properties carried to USGBC LEED certification: Platinum for the thirty-two storey Trade Intercontinental in Tejgaon, Gold for the thirteen-storey Khelaghor in Dhanmondi, and Gold for M&S House in Banani. Project managers, engineers, and consultants were held to one scorecard, and the house held itself to it first. The result was measured: a twenty-three percent gain in energy efficiency.
